The Saint Lazarus School is located in Kayole Slum in Nairobi, Kenia.
Many of the children who attend the school are not able to pay school fees. Thus the teachers cannot always be paid and are forced to work on a voluntary basis.
For only 500 Euros/month nine teachers and three assisting persons can be paid. You can see this very simple budget for teachers‘ salaries here.
